Each encounter starts with an intimate interview.
The questions were worked out in collaboration with an anthropologist and a psychologist, they are inspired by the principles of jungian psychology.
All informations that are gathered during the interviews, are the base for costumes, sceneries, scenario, voice over.
Once the scenery and the costumes have been created, a rough structure of the scenario is worked out with the participant and the filming can start.
Each scenario is developed in collaboration with the person in question.
What would he or she like to communicate?
It can be based on one answer he or she gave during the interview, like the reenactment of a dream he or she had, or a message that the person wants to transmit, or it can be a simple feeling that I will help her or him to translate into movement.
We agree on one direction and I will write a basic script, but many things change again during the shooting itself, as the person (whom is not an actor) will feel and perceive things differently once the camera is rolling.
the shooting is an experiment, a shared journey we undertake and discover together.
As the third person finally did not want to be filmed, I decided to work with the poem I had written, based on our interview.
